Recently on 16th September 2010 in its mid Quarter Review, the RBI, in order to control inflation, hiked the Repo Rate by 0.25% to 6.0% and the Reverse Repo Rate by 0.50% to 5%. So what are these monetary policy tools that the RBI uses to manage inflation and how do these affect interest rates in the market? The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) uses various monetary tools to manage economic growth and inflation during times of boom and recession. The RBI uses various tools like CRR, SLR, Repo Rate and Reverse Repo Rate. Let us understand these tools one by one. _________________ buy a present

When the RBI hiked interest rates recently, it supposedly acted in response to a buildup of inflationary pressures in the economy. Whether higher interest rates provide a solution to current inflation or not is a matter for separate discussion, detailed in an earlier post, Inflation and the RBI. _________________ new york injury attorney

Indian Economy is going on a smooth recovery path for more than an year now due to various fiscal and monetary stimulus measures by the Government Of India. Now, in months to come, the body language of the Reserve Bank of India should be to get over with the expansionary phase of monetary policy and to move in the direction of monetary tightening. _________________ shadi online pakistan

In line with expectations, Central bank Governor D. Subbarao raised interest rates - for the fifth time this year - amidst concerns of increasing inflationary pressure led by strengthening economy. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) raised the repurchase rate to 6% from 5.75% and the reverse repurchase rate to 5% from 4.5%. Citing inflation as a dominant concern, RBI's mid-quarter Monetary Policy Review stated that "both the old and the new series, however, indicate similar broad trend of inflation." Harping on the growth, the RBI reiterated that virtually all leading indicators of service sector activity point to sustained growth and that agriculture output is set to expand at a record pace this year. _________________ buy youtube subscribers
